Place was a dive. They booked a prostitute at 12:30 A.M. in the room next to me. She did three guys up to 4:30 A.M. So cars running and pulling up until that time. And then of course the groans of the experience. Nice things to listen on Christmas.
You can just tell.. nothing but Riff Raff. I was there with my family during the hurricane. The lady's in the office were very nice. But the place itself, filthy. I don't even think our sheets were clean, also like way to many cigarette burns. We seen a transvestite hooking on the street by the parking lot on the way out and his/her pimp was in the motel 6 parking lot. Lovely. Thanks motel 6 for leaving the light on!! Hey, I will never stay at one again, that's how bad it was. Lock your car and room doors and don't look too hard, you'll be extremely dissatisfied.
Everything was oily. Floors slick. Tables and bathroom countertops slick. It was like everything was wiped down with furniture wood oil, even the floor. Towels and washcloths yellow and dingy.(didn't use, gross) Two small flimsy pillows for the bed. Wondered if the linens were clean. Very dissatisfied. Creepy feeling. (Hoping No bedbugs or other disgusting leftovers). No where else to go and hurricane warning or we would have left. Was 1st and probably last stay at Motel 6.
The door to the room was the only problem with the stay. You have to close it from the inside and as I was leaving for breakfast I wanted to return to my but some guests was hanging out early and as they seen me getting ready to go they plotted up looking and pointing at my room. A little security and better doors would be better.
It has laminate flooring that looks like bamboo which would be nice at home. There was a storm that night and it was nice looking out of the window at the pine trees. It made me really want pine trees to look at from home. The 17 bus goes there from the bus depot downtown and drops off at the corner. There is only a service station to buy snacks at.
