Considering the price you pay for the room, it is actually a very good deal.
I want to add that after I wrote this review, that the manager of the hotel called me tonight (Sept. 25) to address my concerns. I was impressed very much impressed with that. I understand he has made contact with many or all guests who stayed there while being displaced by Hurricane Irma. He was very kind, very concerned and I appreciate it. I do understand that they were overworked with so many guests. He explained the shortage of towels with so many guests - I understand. That doesn't excuse the really dirty room and he didn't try to excuse it. He did say he would address that concern.
This was actually a Very Nice hotel at one time. The rooms are all suites and very spacious and the staff is friendly! The hotel is clean, and they allow pets with a minimal deposit. There is a nice atrium in the hotel. I rated at 3 stars because the Furniture, beds and carpet needs to be upgraded.
Great staff in hand it's a old hotel though and they draw crowds of what looks to be drug users and prostitutes
I don't recommend this hotel at all, along with many other people after reading the reviews. We only stayed there because other hotels were full as this was during Hurricane Irma. Desk staff were friendly, however other staff was not. Had only 2 towels for 4 people. Asked for more plus two sheets for sofa bed and floor. The guy came and threw them in the room. He was obviously angry that we asked for the extra towels. Everything he gave us was still damp. The room was extremely dirty, especially around the door knobs and the glass mirrors on the closet. Old, run down furniture. Breakfast was minimal, cereal, a few muffins and white bread - no toaster. The outside of the hotel is nice as well as the lobby - just dated. Only because we didn't want to try to sleep in a hot car did we stay there. It was a really bad experience. I would never recommend this hotel.
Beautiful, historic looking exterior. The inner area looked like a Spanish villa with plants etc. However, the rooms smelled like cigarette smoke and were badly outdated. We could not get the a.c. to work. The staff was very friendly and there was free continental breakfast. The price was good and it was right off the highway. VERY spacious room. Very old furniture and the room needed to be cleaned better.
Awesome place, lots of plants in the main lobbies, it is 3 floors with a nice comfortable wide open layout. Everyone who works here is awesome and the manager is a really good guy. I work on the road and always try to land at around $50 a day at weekly hotels this is the best one I've ever been at. It is huge, it's basically two rooms they're very clean, couches, tables, can't ask for anything more and I have a big refrigerator. Obviously taking price into consideration pound-for-pound this is a great place. Once again clean is the key this place does it right and it shows with the happy workers and nice environment. I need to shut up and end this review but this is better than a lot of hundred dollar a day places I've been at simply because of the size of the rooms and cleanliness.
