If you want to learn something about the historic Civil Rights Movement, this should be on your ToDo list. You're walking through different rooms showing you the work and life of Rosa Parks. It uses some special effects to make this museum more interesting than others. Everything is combined with historic photos, documents and videos.
Great exhibits. Just the right amount of interactivity and displays.
I feel as though I am stepping back in time when I enter this place. It is a spiritual feeling for sure. The staff are very friendly and informative. The design of the museum is very flowing and the bus ride is a must see experience!
It's part of the Troy university.
A very nice, flowing presentation along the Civil Rights tour. Highly recommended
We spent 2 hours in this museum! I've always wanted to come here and finally did after living here for 2 years. I recommend going to both sides (children museum & Rosa parks). The price for both I believe is $28 per person. I recommend going right when they open if it is a weekend. The tour guides were very friendly. There is so much to look at, read, and see. From sitting on a replica of the bus to reading the original documents of the boycott are great. My only recommendation would be too gave the original documents at eye level so we won't have to bend down so much. Also don't forget to go down the hall to see the room with lynching stories and paraphernalia, it will touch your soul.
