My best friend and I stopped here on our way to Florida. So glad we did it was a moving experience. There is parking right behind the house and you walk in and pay your fee at the house next to the parsonage. It was $30 for all four of us to go and well worth the money. Plam on spending about an hour there. We did not have Dr Sherry give us a tour but the woman who did our tour was very knowledgeable and kind we enjoyed her very much. When you first go in there's a video that they show you and explain the people who were making a difference in the area leading up to Martin Luther King and the people that worked side-by-side with him. I love the way they tied and Rosa Parks and the bus boycott with what was going on at the time. It wasn't just about Martin Luther King but everybody who work together to make a difference. Next they take you into the parsonage itself and explain each of the rooms and the part they played in Martin Luther King's life and the decisions that were being made during that time. The most moving part of the whole house tour is at the end in the kitchen. They play one of his sermons that describes a moment that he had in the kitchen we all were moved to tears! Powerful moment.

We had an awesome guide. Made the entire experience better

Dr. Shirley Cherry is an amazing woman, coach, teacher and guide. I am honestly blessed to have crossed paths with her. I will never forget her and her passionate way of describing Dr. King's life and person. Thank you Shirley you have changed my life.

I've on a lot of historical tour's but Dr. Cherry is leap's and bounds above Outstanding! She's simply wonderful, God willing I will visit her tour again. The group was blown away by her delivery! Peace Terry L Muhammad

Okay. Miss Shirley is one of the most incredible ladies I’ve ever met. I could listen to her presentation over and over again and never grow tired. If you want to experience Dr. King in a personal way, you should go here!
