Overall service in Montgomery is lacking. The ladies at Men's Wearhouse change that! I was in and out in no time and can't say enough good things about this place. Super kind, courteous, and professional. What else can you ask for? It's unfair that other reviewers downgraded their reviews because this is not a "Big and Tall" store. If you are big and tall you already know there are specific stores that cater to you. Don't blame this store or the employees for selling to the averages and not catering to you.
The lady that checked me out was extremely rude. When I handed her the suit rental I was returning, she snapped at me with “you’re late! there’s a late fee. come over here and pay!” I understood already that there would be a late fee, but the way she acted when she noticed the due date (yesterday) was as if I offended her severely. Completely unprofessional.
Of the many suits I have purchased from this company, there have been a few hiccups in the process. Having said that, the manager and assistant managers at the EastChase store have always sorted out the issue. Always. I realize that this is not a custom-fit suit shop, but I do like a good value. Given this, I perceive that the employees at this store realize I am the client base to which they are catering. Although it is clear I'm not dropping 5k on a suit, they treat me as if I am. And if it matters, all the employees look sharp and are dressed to the nines! One tip: if you find a deal online, call the store and have them place the order. They will often honor the price and the have better tracking.
That brought me back to the idea of the late fee that I had accepted the reality of but now that’s its back in mind, I think it’s completely asinine and discouraging as a business model to charge a late fee if the suit is not returned within 24 hours after the wedding. Most weddings are on Saturdays and if it’s a wedding like the one I went to, it involved traveling a few states away. It doesn’t make sense for me to be able to pick up a suit days or a week before a wedding but to then be required to return the suit within 24 hours after the wedding. That’s just clearly a money making scheme. The wedding help is already pressured because of the $200 investment of wearing a suit for 1 hour and to be expected to find their way to a men’s warehouse in this town they are visiting on a Sunday is ridiculous—hence the reason it’s probably a money making scheme.
Not worth the hassle to go out there if you wear 6x or larger. This place is for puny school boys small medium and large. Change your name people.
Needed a suit for a funeral, so needless to say I needed it quick. They were extremely helpful in helping me pick out a great fitting suit and then had it tailored and pressed for me on the spot.
I may not be so lit if it wasn’t for the suit not being $200 worth of a rental because of the several strands of thread sticking out of the button holes and the hem of the pant legs being stitched by scotch tape it seems. I’ll be pushing for as many friends and family to forgo the traditional ridiculousness of wedding couture, and not burden grinds and family with spending a collective $2000 on rentals. At the very least not from men’s warehouse.
