Fast forward to tonight. My husband was in excruciating pain. Once he finally got into a room, after waiting over 2 hours, the nurse was rude. My husband was hurting bad! Ended up being a kidney stone. The Dr came in, got them to give an IV if pain meds and fluids immediately. That was the one good thing of the whole night. Also, the guy that came from CT-he was super nice and quick. It took another 3 hours for them to come back with any information. At 3:30am (we got there at 9pm) still nothing, but they were supposed to be discharging him with pain meds and a referral. Finally, the nurse came in with an excuse, gave my husband more pain meds because by now they were wearing off. Once again, we were left there to wait. Apparently now th Dr was *really*’working on tha discharge papers...4am...4:30am...I mean, c’mon.
Tyler (Emergency Room Nurse) was absolutely great. He said he would be with me the whole time and actually did. Everyone stepped up. From the time I got to the hospital to the time I left. If I could give 10 stars I would.
Brought my grandmother here after her 2nd stroke and they treated her with dignity and respect. The staff were extraordinary, from the nurses to the doctors. Everything concerning her current and future treatments were explained clearly and effectively. It was a blessing to have had the opportunity to get her here. An all around pleasant experience and I highly recommend this facility.
I understand when the ER is full of people and the rooms are occupied, plus an ambulance comes in with a critical patient. What I don’t understand is how you bring the wrong paper work into the room then once it’s pointed out you leave to get MY paperwork and never return. After 2 hours, I go searching. The nurse LEFT because her shift was over and didn’t pass on my info!!! They seriously forgot about me. Yeah, they were apologetic but that doesn’t help this type situation. This was my experience a year ago.
ICU unit and one day in a regular observation room was nothing less spectacular, I'm grateful for the professional nursing staff, doctors, tech's, and the cleaning lady..
Had to make our own admission. Many of the nursing staff were argumentative and rarely came in to check on the patient. Three days with no bath, change of bedding or gown. RN decided to ignore several doctor's orders so as to not be inconvenienced. Patient was kept in the dark about tests, results, procedures, and purpose of treatment. Charge Nurse became argumentative when asked to confirm a post - meal high glucose result. Would have made rating lower, but couldn't! Some members of the staff were very professional and attentive, but they were in the minority. Too bad we won't get a Press Gainey survey...
All I can say, Baptist East needs to get their ER in check. It’s horrid.
OUTSTANDING! The service and care I recived here to include 2 days in the
