I walked into the salon after reading online reviews and was mostly happy with my experience. I asked at the front desk who was good at cutting wavy hair. Jessica B. took me back and I explained to her that I wanted a dry cut and I didn't want to loose my length. She did cut my hair dry and she did keep it long. She also did keep it in a sort of U shape as opposed to just chopping it straight across. Those are the positives. However I was not terribly happy that the layering that she did was done on the out/ half wave making it look messier than when I walked in especially as that was the reason for me to have it cut dry. I prefer it to curl under naturally and this can be done. The layers also made it quite a bit shorter in the back midsection as opposed to the sides giving a sort of dramatic duck bill look to the bottom that I don't really like. The price was very reasonable and I was in and out quickly. I would say this place is probably great for those people with stick straight hair and for those that like to straighten/process/blowout their hair on a daily basis. I don't do that and I warned them of that in advance.
This was my first time at the salon and the first time to meet Nikki. My hair had been in a ponytail for the last month because I had no idea what to do with it and was in desperate need of a haircut. I sat down in Nikki's chair and we talked about sorts of things like what I did for a living, my hobbies, how much time I normally spent fixing my hair. She did an excellent job of accessing my needs and giving me good advice on what would and wouldn't work. She gave me the sassiest, most adorable (and easy to maintain) hair cut! I couldn't have been more pleased. I would recommend her to anyone and will definitely be back. Thank you, Nikki!
Just moved to the area and had my first appointment here today. It was a wonderful experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I love my color and cut. I sat with Debra and she was lovely.
Kamee is awesome!!! She was very knowledgeable and seemed just as excited as I was about the change to my hair. The blonde in my hair had turned very yellow, and she was able to add icy blonde highlights along with lowlights. This was my first visit to D'Markos and I will definitely be back.
Thrilled I found D’Markos!!! I am a Montgomery transplant having lived in Atlanta most of my life. I was very fortunate to have a very “sought after” friend/ stylist in Atlanta for years. After asking many people here in Montgomery, and a few not so terrific experiences, I was relieved to find Kamee at a different solan. By a divine appointment, she says smiling, Kamee relocated to D’Markos! Now I get to have the optimum experience I had grown used to in Atlanta. From being greeted by John as I enter each time to finishing touches by Kamee, I am relaxed, listened to, pampered and flawlessly coifed! I call Kamee “my spirit animal” because she is not afraid of what I might bring to her- I have gone so far as to bring her a blush makeup palette and asked her to create a fun rose gold color balayage for my blond hair. Not flustered in the least she produced an amazing result. I wish I had the before and after pictures she took, but I bet when you see her the first time she will be happy to show you!!!! You will not be disappointed :)
