establishments. Capitol Oyster Bar was the perfect spot! We had been traveling all day and wanted a casual spot to grab a quick bite to eat. The restaurant is located on the water at Montgomery marina. It was Saturday night and all of the tables outside were full when we arrived--not a problem. Inside was fun and a bit noisy...filled with lots of folks enjoying great food and football on many TVs located around the dining room. We were glad to be able to catch a bit of several college games while we ate. The oysters were outstanding! We love fresh oysters on the half shell and these did not disappoint! We ordered the fried shrimp platter and oyster po-boy sandwich--both were great! If you are looking for a casual, local spot with great food, check out Capitol Oyster Bar. We will definitely go back next time we are in Montgomery.
Capital Oyster Bar is great. Excellent oysters and peel and eat shrimp. The person wanting veggies and soup - Cracker Barrel is your place on the interstate
I had a excellent lunch at a good price. The oysters were extremely fresh. Excellent fried shrimp. I highly recommend this place. The view is to die for. I wish I were here for some live music. I will definitely come back.
OMG! This place offers a comfortable, friendly neighborhood feel. Staff is awesome and the food is as well! The live music is one of the best attractions. I loved it and also ate outside on the balcony! They treated us like family and it was our first time there! Definitely going back when I go to Montgomery!
We were in town for one night and looking for a place where the locals eat. We are not fans of chain restaurants, and prefer to patronize the local "Mom and Pop"
We absolutely loved it! At first, you might think you've taken a turn into the wrong side of town, lol. But, once inside you'll enjoy the casual atmosphere and the fantastic food.
