Came here for lunch from 12-1. There's about 10 parking spots outside, so be prepared to find parking far away and walk to the restaurant. We went in and a sign said to seat ourselves. However, people were in line at a counter where there were menus. No one greeted us and we couldn't tell if there was table service or if it was only counter service. Ended up finding a table, but it was for the coffee shop side, which is not distinctly marked as a separate institution at all. Had to move to the "Tomatinos side" to get served.
Excellent new setup to an old standard in old Cloverdale. This new addition is more spacious and better air conditioned with great space for friends or a date. I would highly recommend their dressings & ranch is the best
Food was good but the ranch was so expensive. Slow service I'm late for my class because it took so long. But yeah pretty good.
Friend ordered the Lunch Special, which is a salad (no Caesar though), a drink (one can of soda), and one slice of cheese pizza. He asked to add Italian sausage to the pizza, but he received a plain slice even though he was charged for sausage (this was corrected before paying).
We asked for the checks as soon as the food came as well as 2 boxes since we had no time to eat. Had to take lunch back to the office. We had to ask for the boxes twice because they weren't brought the first time.
This is a humble pizza restaurant. If you looked up the definition of "hole in the wall" I imagine that a picture of this restaurant would accompany it. There isn't a lot of seating and the tables are close together. It shares parking with other restaurants in the area, and sometimes finding a spot can be a headache. That said, my rating of this restaurant is not based on any of that. The pizza is superior to any chain restaurant, and can hold its own against some of the best pizza restaurants in Montgomery. They also have a few decent brands of beer to accompany your pizza.
Tomatinos Pizza has the most flavorful pizza! I ordered a double pepperoni that was splendid. My service has always been quick. The staff has been consistently kind and accommodating. It's one of the best places in MGM. And they serve hot teas.
TL;DR: nowhere to park, bad service, food takes forever to come out, it probably won't even be made correctly according to your order, but at least the food was decent. Won't be going back.
We also ordered a medium meat pizza. This is the only thing they got right, and is the only reason for two stars. This pizza (when we finally got it at 12:55) was decent, but not great. They did load it with meat, though, no skimping on ingredients here.
By now it was already 12:15 after driving by the first time at 12:05. A waitress didn't come until 12:25 to take our food and drink orders. Soda is sold by the can for $1.50 each, meaning no refills. They didn't have Caesar salad dressing, which our table and the one behind us asked for. You'd think if it's in high demand they'd get some.
