Would have given it 5 stars, but... went in and was checking out around 5:30. There was a cashier and a bag boy at the register I chose. As soon as the cashier began to scan my groceries, the bag boy, Taylor, began speaking to someone he knew. He looked right at me, then at the cashier pushing my groceries to the end of the counter, turned around and walked out the door with his friend. Then, through the door, I could see him just chatting in the parking lot. I bagged my own groceries, since there was a line of people behind me. Not a big deal, I didn't have much. Then at the door, I decided that I would not need the buggy to get my things to my truck. Taylor had just returned from the parking lot to the front of the store, pushing 1 buggy and totally engrossed in his cell phone. As he passed me, I said, "Here you go" and pushed my empty buggy towards him. He was so absorbed in his cell phone that the buggy almost hit him and he never even noticed! Glad I'm not his boss! Another Publix employee even commented that all he does is look at his phone all the time when there is no manager around. FYI, from one manager to another, if any employee can't stay off the cell phone, it should not be in work areas when on the clock!
Be careful going to this one. They have A LOT of expired food they sell and close to expiration date food. I bought a sandwich there Monday night and got ready to eat it Tuesday and noticed a smell. Look at the date it expires on that Wednesday. So I called a manager, and I asked if I could bring it back and exchange. On Wednesday I did some more shopping and now I’m noticing the chips taste different. They expire January 2nd. Sometimes we are rushing and not watching dates. Be sure to look at the dates, especially at this location. I usually shop at the one on Vaughn.
I stopped by this location wanting to pick up a chilled bottle of wine and something for dinner. Well they didn't have a chilled wine refrigerator or section even though they have these at other stores which is why I "assumed" they had one at this location. Plus the store allocates an entire half aisle of refrigerated beer but no wine. Then the pork chops I picked up with my warm bottle of Chardonnay didn't have a well printed barcode although the price was visible, yet when I got to the cashier she couldn't scan the item and she is not "allowed" to just key in the price. Rather then wait on someone to be called to override this situation or go get a better printed label I just told her to forget the pork chops. So I left with no dinner and no cooks wine. :-(
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, well stocked store.
Some of the employees not as friendly as they used to be i asked one of the employees for heavy cream he just pointed his finger the cashier was not friendly but he was friendly to the old white guy but the young lady that was bagging the grocery friendly i buplix is becoming like everyone else.
