The Case Managers were extremely nice & kind . It ment so much after being treated like a 60 year old child by the toxic Director of Nursing .
My fiancé went in to apply for a position and the old front desk lady was the rudest ANYONE could ever be with a hateful attitude, that place would’ve benefited from my fiancés help, you can’t find a more caring person than my girl!! Not going back ever
Other than the Director of Nursing there were some Great people.
My mother is a resident at Crowne and she is VERY HAPPY! I have been so pleased with her care. She is loved, well taken care of, she has her TV and her own land line phone in her room! She can call me when ever she wants and her friends and family can call anytime as well. There are activities for all of the residents, the staff really cares.
Needless to say my Mother refused to stay and was rehospitalised in less than 3 weeks with similar issues.
The director of nursing was rude to me about my Mother 2 days before Christmas. We had 12 inches of rain on Christmas Eve. The 3rd hall flooded as a result I wasn't able to see her until late Christmas Day . She was alone in Rehab much of the holiday I had promised her if she went to rehab I'd be with her and she wouldn't be alone . We were both miserable.
I don't know how anyone could write a good review of this facility. I have been to a number of nursing homes and assisted living facilities and this was the absolute worst. The bldg is old and terribly depressing - institutional care at its worst. The halls are jam-packed with residents sitting in wheelchairs. The smell is the worst. The rehab room was so crowded - it was the size of a resident's room stuffed w/20 or so residents trying to do rehab. I think they were building a new rehab room, though. The care was mediocre. I had to pay for my parent to have round-the-clock private nurses to sit with my parent during the time there b/c I couldn't trust the staff would do the work. They probably are overwhelmed in their defense, but the management has this place set up w/way too many patients (I assume it accepts Medicaid) and it's a health and safety nightmare. DON"T LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! If you do, find somewhere else soon and in the meantime, check on them every day at different times of the day!
My mother spend 21 days at Crowne after a stroke. We were very happy with her level of care. The staff is pleasant and caring. Mother loved the food and her room (private). No, it is not the Ritz but is as good as rehab gets, in my opinion. We have nothing but good things to say about her stay there.
